Options for beginners: How to manage 'in-the-money' (ITM) short put options at expiration

In this lesson, I show you how to manage a short put option that ended up "in-the-money" on Expiration Friday. This was a hypothetical trade on Facebook (FB).

Initially, I sold (to open) a short put option. One month later, on expiration day, my short put was in-the-money, but I still made a profit. How did that happen?
